The Acura Legend was one of the first two car models sold by Honda's Acura luxury brand and sold as the Honda Legend outside North America. It was available as a four door sedan and later a two door coupe produced from 1986 and replaced by the RL in 1996.
First generation
The first generation Legend was produced from 1986 to 1990. It was one of two cars that Honda initially began selling in North America branded as Acuras. It used a new 2.7 L C27 V6 engine.
Second generation
The second generation Legend was produced from 1991 to 1995. It used the larger 3.2 L C32A engine.
Awards
The Legend Coupe was Motor Trend's Import Car of the Year for 1987. The coupe also made Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 1988 through 1990.
