9th Regiment of Foot

The 9th Regiment of Foot was a regiment of the British Army. The title dates from 1751 but the origins of the regiment are with Henry Cornewall's Regiment of Foot founded 1685.

In 1881 it became The Norfolk Regiment , and, in 1935, The Royal Norfolk Regiment , which was later incorporated into the 1st East Anglian Regiment along with The Suffolk Regiment . In 1964 it became part of The Royal Anglian Regiment.
