219 Thusnelda is a typical Main belt asteroid. It is classified as a S-type asteroid and is probably composed of a mixture of silicates and metals. It is also light in colour.

It was discovered by Johann Palisa on September 30, 1880 in Pola and was named after Thusnelda, wife of Germanic warrior Arminius.
